What did I do?
Cash Collection was a transformative initiative aimed at overhauling BigBasket's cash collection processes across all lines of business. The goal was to design scalable, efficient, and automated systems that addressed existing challenges while preparing the company for future growth.

High Level Scope and Objective
The issue with transfers from CEE accounts to Bigbasket is that CEEs are reluctant to transfer cash directly from their bank accounts due to insufficient funds and they might need the money for personal expenses or other financial commitments.
The challenge is to devise a solution for CEEs to deposit money into their bank accounts and then transfer it to Bigbasket. This poses challenges such as distance to the nearest bank or ATM and associated costs like time, petrol, and bank charges.

Design Approach for COD Drops Division
Dividing the COD project into these three drops allowed me to address specific challenges in manageable phases. Each drop focused on distinct aspects of the cash flow process, ensuring thoughtful, user-centric solutions that balanced business goals with operational scalability.

UPI Integration
Enable digital cash collections via UPI to reduce dependency on physical cash handling.

Drop 2
Airtel/Fino Partnership
Implement a versatile external monetary storage solution to minimize reliance on CDM devices and human input.
What did we do ?
Impact
Partnered with Airtel/Fino for cash deposits at nearby outlets.
Saving for ₹10 cr/m by avoiding additional CDM machines.
Held on site training programs to adopt drop point integration
Simplified cash deposit workflows for delivery executives.
Created app flows for easy location of deposit points and confirmations.

Implement controls to limit the amount of cash delivery executives can retain based on their earnings and seniority.

Set cash retention limits based on salary and seniority.
